Blackberry Cottage

Photo: B

Step into Blackberry Cottage and you're immediately in the main living space—no stairs, no corridors, just an open-plan layout on the ground floor where the kitchen, dining and sitting areas flow together. French doors lead straight out to the garden. The two bedrooms are here too: one with a super king bed, the other with zip-and-link singles that can be pushed together or kept apart. The bathroom has both a bath with shower attachment and a separate cubicle shower. This layout suits families or anyone who prefers everything within easy reach, and children benefit from the straightforward flow of the cottage.

The kitchen is properly equipped for self-catering, with an oven, hob, dishwasher, and all the usual appliances. The sitting room has a woodburner, smart TV and DVD player, plus books and games. You'll find essentials like bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included, along with heating and electricity. An external utility room houses a washing machine and tumble dryer. One dog stays free.

Outside, an enclosed gravel garden has patio space, a BBQ and garden furniture. You have parking for three cars on site, and the grounds—about an acre and a third—are shared with the owner. Bodmin Moor is nearby; the Cornish coast is roughly half an hour's drive away. A pub sits about a mile off, and shops are three miles distant. Launceston itself is five miles away.

We recently stayed for 5 nights at this cottage as a family. This cottage is pet friendly, and is located in lovely Cornish countryside with amazing views around the area. It is well equipped with all that we needed for a family holiday. The minor issue we had was a little space for freezer storage. The owners of the property - Richard and Tanya live close by, and are very helpful and friendly, going as far as leaving us a cream tea in the fridge on arrival. We highly recommend this property, we will return in future! . We loved it so much that we didn’t want to leave. It was like a home from home and very relaxing indeed.

What a beautiful cottage! Everything is perfect in this cottage, Cleanliness, size, location (very seclusive) and the very friendly hosts. Can't ignore the lovely puppy Bella. We didn't want to travel on Friday or weekend, especially to Cornwall during the school holiday time. This cottage is one of a few that can be booked from Monday onwards, which is brilliant for us. We'd love to stay for 7 nights, unfortunately the weekend was booked by next guests when we book, so we could only stay for 5 nights, and travel back on Saturday :( We loved everything here. We'll try to stay longer next time. Thank you Richard and Tania.
