Butterbee Cottages - The Chrysalis

Small families and couples after a rural base will find The Chrysalis suits them well. It's a single bedroom cottage that sleeps four, with a zip-and-link bed that can be configured as two singles if needed, plus a sofa bed in the living room. A cot and highchair are available on request. The property is your own to use entirely, set within the grounds of Butterbee House in Callington, on the eastern fringe of Bodmin Moor.

Downstairs is open-plan living and dining, with a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—electric oven and hob, fridge, microwave. The shower room has a walk-in shower and heated towel rail. Upstairs is the bedroom. Outside, a private patio leads to shared gardens with children's play areas and views across the moor. Your own garden has seating, a barbecue and fire pit. Two cars can park on site; there's a bike store and an electric car charging point if you need it. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. No smoking indoors.

Callington sits in quiet farmland with country pubs within reach, woodland walks and the Tamar Valley nearby. St Mellion golf course is a few miles away, Plymouth thirty minutes' drive. Both the north and south coasts are accessible for a day trip—roughly 17 miles to the nearest beach.
