St Austell's main draws—the Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan, and a string of Cornish beaches—are all within reach of Hillside, a single-bedroom cottage on the edge of town. The property itself is compact and self-contained, with a double bed, shower room, and a combined living and kitchen space that handles cooking and eating in one room. Parking is on site for one car.
Everything is on the ground floor. The kitchen has an electric cooker, hob, microwave, fridge and washing machine. Freeview Smart TV and Netflix are available in the living area. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are included. A welcome pack arrives from the owners. Outside, a small lawn and garden furniture provide a private outdoor area, though the main appeal here is the location and what lies beyond the garden gate rather than space to sprawl.
No smoking is permitted. St Austell itself has a mining heritage worth exploring if you decide not to venture further afield, with the Wheal Martyn Clay Works and the Luxulyan Valley nearby.
