Lantreath comes fully equipped for self-catering: the kitchen has an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave; heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included. Three bedrooms sleep six – a super kingsize, a kingsize and two singles – alongside two bathrooms with shower and bath facilities. Parking for three cars sits on the property, and a front garden with terrace and furniture overlooks the water.
The house occupies a rare position directly opposite the steps down to Summers Beach in St Mawes. From the terrace you see across the Fal Estuary towards Pendennis and St Mawes castles, and inland to the Helford River. St Mawes village itself clusters around its harbour with independent shops and restaurants; the Tudor castle dominates the waterfront. Beyond lie the Roseland Peninsula's quiet coves, rolling countryside and sections of the Southwest Coast Path. Portscatho and St Just in Roseland, with its church beside the water, reward exploration. The area suits walkers, swimmers and those wanting to paddle or sail in sheltered creeks. No smoking is permitted inside.
