Flushing sits on a sheltered point across the water from Falmouth, with sandy beaches minutes away at Kiln, sailing at the club nearby, and two pubs plus a fish restaurant on the quay. In late July or early August, Flushing Regatta fills the calendar with racing, swimming, crab catching and a carnival. The village has a reputation for mild winters—as close to warm as Cornwall gets—which visitors notice immediately walking around.
New Quay House is a Grade II listed building with three bedrooms and three bathrooms, sleeping seven. The ground floor holds the kitchen and dining room; the first floor has a living room and a bathroom; bedrooms are all on the second floor along with a shower room. The layout gives everyone space to spread out. One double bed and four singles are distributed across the bedrooms. A private garden sits across the road with a picnic table and summerhouse. On-site parking fits two cars. Electricity, bed linen and towels are included; the kitchen is equipped for cooking proper meals. The property is Grade II listed and retains period character—not a modern finish, but a genuine historic house with views across Falmouth Harbour. Smoking is not permitted inside.
