Lostwithiel has long drawn visitors to its antiques shops and local restaurants, and Stable Cottage sits just outside the town on a 9-acre estate. The cottage is one of three converted from a historic building, with its own entrance and private parking for one car. One dog is welcome here.
Both bedrooms are on the ground floor: the first has a double bed with an ensuite wet room, the second has two single beds. A second bathroom with a full bath and shower serves the second bedroom. The open-plan living space centres on a woodburner (initial logs provided), with a kitchen that has a cooker, dishwasher, fridge and washing machine. Wifi, heating and electricity are all included. French doors open from the living area onto a sunny courtyard, and you have access to shared terraced gardens, woodland walks, a barbecue and the outdoor pool (open June to September). The grounds do include an unfenced pond 30 yards from the cottage and multiple steps, which matters if you have young children or mobility concerns. No smoking throughout.

Excellent, well thought out dog friendly accommodation offering stunning gardens and a perfect springboard to explore the local area. Local pub, offering good food, within walking distance in the village. Ample parking, easy access and quiet area. Pia the host was excellent at assisting us with local touring duties. Perfect.

Had a wonderful 2 weeks here. It is in a great location that is easy to get to so many places in Cornwall as not down a 5 mile country lane. The cottage was roomy and comfortable for 2 weeks away, lots of space outside for the kids to run around in. The family that runs it are helpful and provided a very relaxing atmosphere.

Peregrine Hall - This is a superb self catering retreat in the town of Lostwithiel with great facilities. The rooms are contemporary and the dining areas comfy and well equipped. We enjoyed days out to Looe and many other harbours and local attractions. The accommodation allows the use of the swimming pool which was rather refreshing! The grounds are landscaped and there are many mature trees and plants of interest. There is off street parking and plenty of space for multiple cars.

Lovely quiet holiday accommodation in beautiful gardens. The family have 3 friendly dogs, which bark loudly when you go near the front of the house, but they very quickly calm down. Easy access to the town of Lostwithiel, although a steep walk back up to Peregrine Hall. Weather was cloudy temperature 18 to 20°c for most of our holiday, but the pool was still quite warm. Lovely area for walking.
