Pomeroy’s Cottage

Photo: Pomeroy Cottage

Buxton sits on the Cornish coast where working fishing villages give way to holiday homes and coastal paths. Pomeroy's Cottage is a traditional stone cottage sleeping four, tucked into the heart of the village with private parking for two cars and direct access to a private courtyard garden. One dog can stay free of charge.

The cottage spreads across two floors. Downstairs, a living room with a wood-burning stove flows into a separate dining area, and the kitchen has an electric cooker, dishwasher and everything needed for self-catering. Upstairs, one bedroom has a king bed with an ensuite shower; the other has two single beds. A second bathroom serves the landing. A utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer sits downstairs, useful after beach days or walks. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included.

An elevated garden opposite the cottage provides space for eating outside, and there are 14 steps leading through the main courtyard garden. The Duke of York pub sits nearby. The cottage doesn't allow smoking indoors.

Loved our stay at Pomeroy cottage. Loved the secure dog friendly garden and log burner in the living room.

Stopped at this lovely cottage as we wanted to explore the area as just started walking. Absolutely beautiful inside and around. Host was very informative and gave us local areas of interest to visit as never been here before. Would highly recommend and will definitely be booking again to see the area in different seasons.

We had an absolutely lovely stay at Pomeroy Cottage. Beautiful inside and out, comfortable, great pub down the road we visited twice and a beautiful area. We even got to take our dog too! Such a lovely property and no doubt we'll be back in the future :)
