You enter into a ground-floor living and dining room with a working kitchen behind it—the sort of space where people naturally gather. There's a bathroom with bath and shower downstairs, plus a separate toilet. Upstairs, two bedrooms: one with a double bed, one with two singles. The place is warm (electric central heating), and everything you need is here—linen, towels, wifi, parking for two cars on the property itself. Smoking is not permitted.
The barn is genuinely old, converted to work as a home, and sits near Park Head, where the National Trust car park gives access to some of Cornwall's most striking coastline. Dramatic cliffs, rock formations, sandy coves. From here you can walk to several beaches; Porthcothan is close by. Padstow and Newquay are also nearby if you want a town. There is a back garden, a barbecue, and if you're travelling with small children, a travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available. The property suits families, couples and groups of friends looking for a genuine base rather than a fancy one.
