Talehay Cottages - Owl
Cornwall
Owl is part of Talehay Cottages, a cluster of stone buildings arranged around a courtyard on a working farm. The main farmhouse dates to around 1720 and retains its listed status; the detached cottages, including this one, have been converted to holiday lets while keeping the character of their original stonework and rural setting. The property sits down a quiet country lane in unspoilt countryside, approached through open fields rather than a built-up area.
The cottage has two bedrooms—one with a double bed, one with two singles—and a bathroom with a bath and shower. Downstairs, there is a living room with a smart TV and a separate dining room, plus a kitchen equipped for self-catering with an electric oven, hob and microwave. Wifi, electricity and bed linen are included. One dog is welcome. The property is non-smoking.
Guests have private parking for two cars and a sitting-out area with garden furniture. The 3½ acres of enclosed meadowland behind the main house are shared with other cottages on the site; there is also a children's play area and a barbecue hut available to residents. Pelynt village is about a mile away, and the coast is roughly five miles distant. The location works well for those seeking a quiet base for exploring Cornish beaches, coastal paths and inland attractions.
