Tarquins

Fowey's riverside setting draws visitors for its galleries, cafes and working harbour, all within easy reach of Tarquins. The town hosts a Royal Regatta each August and a cultural festival in May. Literary connections run deep here—Daphne du Maurier and Arthur Quiller Couch both lived locally, and Kenneth Grahame drew inspiration from the river and its surroundings when writing The Wind in the Willows.
Tarquins occupies the ground floor of a converted riverside building, with a double bedroom and ensuite bathroom, a second bedroom with two single beds and a separate shower room. The open-plan living and kitchen area opens onto a patio with direct river access, where you can watch the water and the town unfold. The kitchen is equipped for cooking; there's a smart TV, DVD and music system for downtime. Electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are all included. A shared laundry room and games room (with table tennis) are available to guests, and kayaks and a small rowing boat are on hand for those wanting to explore the water. Street parking is a five-minute level walk away and charged separately. The property is non-smoking throughout.
