The Stables

You step straight into an open-plan living space that combines kitchen, dining and sitting areas on The Stables' ground floor. A wood-burner, Freeview TV and comfortable seating make it easy to settle in, while the kitchen—fitted with electric hob, cooker, dishwasher and washing machine—handles everything from quick meals to proper cooking. Upstairs is a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower over the bath. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and electricity are all included. The cottage is compact and straightforward: there's parking for two cars on site, a small front garden with seating, and an enclosed rear courtyard if you want privacy outdoors. One small dog is welcome, provided they're kept on a lead.

The Stables is an 18th-century conversion of a traditional barn, built from Cornish granite with original beams still visible. It sits in private grounds near Lawhyre Holiday Cottages, in a corner of Cornwall designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Fowey—a working port town with narrow streets, independent shops, restaurants and pubs—is within walking distance through woodland. Readymoney Cove beach, sheltered by cliffs and overlooked by a 16th-century castle, lies ten minutes on foot. Further afield, the Eden Project and Bodmin Moor are short drives away. No smoking in the property.
