Treburthick House is a large detached property set back from the Cornish coast near Saint Austell, with grounds stretching across an acre of lawn, courtyard and terrace. The house itself spreads across three floors and holds eight bedrooms—a mix of kingsize and single beds—with seven bathrooms between them, sleeping 15 in total. One dog is welcome and stays free. The whole place is yours alone, with private parking and bike storage.
Ground floor rooms include a living room with an open fire and a second sitting room with a woodburner; both help fill the house with warmth on cooler days. The kitchen and dining room open onto the terrace through French doors and are equipped for cooking proper meals, with two dishwashers and two washing machines to handle the logistics of a large group. Upstairs, the bedrooms are arranged across the first and second floors, each with ensuite or nearby bathroom facilities. Essentials are covered—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi—along with the fuel for both fires. Guests also find a travel cot, highchair, an external games room with table tennis, and a welcome pack on arrival.
The garden itself has a courtyard, garden furniture and a barbecue, though there are 12 steps within the grounds. From here, Porthpean's sandy cove is a short walk away for swimming and water activities. The wider area offers coastal walks, fishing villages like Mevagissey, the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan. No smoking throughout the property.

Lovely house, ideal for large family gatherings modern interior with a 1930's vibe. Particularly good for dogs as the very large garden has been carefully enclosed with discreet wire fencing. Our two little dogs were able to roam free and explore. Easy walk to Porthpean Beach or a bit futhur to Duporth along the coast path to avoid the crowds. Plenty of activities in the area, we Kayaked from Porthpean and hired bikes from nearby Pentewan. Not too far to Mevagissey for Fish and Chips with a view of the Harbour. Lovely view from Treburthick across St Austell Bay.
