Honey Cottage

Honey Cottage rises across three storeys on the Lower Mill Estate, a gated 450-acre nature reserve near Somerford Keynes. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame views across the lakes and woodland that surround the property, with direct access to a terrace overlooking the water. The whole cottage is yours alone, with space for nine guests across four bedrooms and four bathrooms: a kingsize suite on the ground floor with ensuite, a second kingsize with ensuite on the upper storey, a zip-and-link twin room, and a bunk room with pull-out single bed.

The open-plan first floor holds a full kitchen equipped for proper cooking, with a dining area, sitting room with woodburner, and doors onto the terrace. A shared heated swimming pool on the estate measures 15m by 30m with depths of 1m to 2m; there's also a gym and secure storage for bikes, canoes and surfboards. Wi-Fi, bed linen, towels and initial logs for the woodburner are included. Parking is free. The estate is positioned for exploring the Cotswolds, though the setting itself—quiet water, meadows and three rivers crossing the grounds—draws people here to slow down rather than venture far. One dog is welcome. Note that a water feature sits directly beyond the terrace; spiral stairs connect the ground and first floors.
