Countisbury sits on the edge of Exmoor National Park, where the moor meets the North Devon coastline, and it's here that Wingate Farm offers a quiet base for exploring the area. With just three rooms, it has the feel of a small, personal guesthouse rather than a large hotel, and pets are welcome for those travelling with dogs.

Guests have access to a kitchen, garden and outdoor seating area, along with a picnic spot for making the most of fine weather, and reception is staffed around the clock. There's no restaurant on site, but pubs, restaurants and eateries can be found nearby, so evening meals are easily arranged within a short distance.

The surrounding countryside is suited to walking and cycling, with fishing also available nearby for those who want it, and the coast and Exmoor's open moorland are within easy reach. Free on-site parking is provided, with space for three vehicles.
