About Telegraph Hotel - Coventry
Telegraph Hotel occupies a building on Corporation Street in Coventry that once housed a newspaper office, and that heritage shows through in the mid-century modern design running through its 88 rooms. It's a fitting reinvention: a workplace turned into somewhere to unwind, with the period character kept rather than stripped out.
Rooms are finished to a comfortable standard, with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning, and family and accessible options available, along with drinks in room and room service for those who'd rather not leave. Downstairs there's a restaurant serving food that guests rate well, plus a bar and snack bar, and breakfast is included. Practical extras cover business services, meeting rooms, concierge help, laundry and luggage storage, so it works equally for a work trip or a weekend away. Staff are consistently described as attentive and friendly, which goes some way to justifying the value on offer.
Outside, the hotel is well placed for exploring Coventry on foot or by bike, with walking and cycling routes nearby, and pubs, bars and restaurants within easy reach. Golf, fishing and horse riding are all available in the surrounding area for those looking to venture further afield, alongside local entertainment options.
What guests say
Had an over night stay at The Telegraph Hotel Coventry. The room (Room 24) was clean, stylish with plenty of room. We had single beds, which were so comfy. It had been a very hot day (July 2026) it was a heat wave. The air conditioning was very easy to use and was much needed. The bathroom was clean, stylish and the shower was lush! We had breakfast there which was tasty, good portions and a variety on offer. £15:90 pp. With as much or little as we wanted, including continental breakfast The hotel was really good value for money £76 for 2 persons on a Sunday night. My only issues in our stay was The TV. At first it was a real pain just to get it to work. The pillows - we both had 1 pillow each which was really lumpy. That said I would happily stay at The Telegraph Hotel again and scarily to say (I don't usually give a recommendation) but... yes I would recommend It. It was really pleasant and so easy for the city centre.

Such a lovely hotel! Really love the fact they keep all elements of the old newspaper office. They managed to keep the mid century style, but same time combined with the contemporary vibe so well. I would say they have the most beautiful furniture I have ever stay in any hotel. We arrived on Thursday evening. There was a different situation at the reception and very short for staff. Sal dealt with the situation very well. As a person used to work in a hotel, I really know it is not easy. Also want a shout out for the bartender at the bar on Friday night. The most lovely gentle man who offered me a glass for my beer when I was borrowing a bottle opener. Wonderful stay. Thank you all staff and whoever designed this hotel

Very nice hotel with really modern rooms, lovely theming too. All of the facilities were clean and the tea/coffee options were great - oat mills, decaf coffees, herbal teas as well as all of the standard choices. The staff were friendly and the restaurant/ bar looked really nice too although we didn’t have time to sit in there. Would absolutely recommend this hotel if you are staying in Coventry, in a decent location close to the centre but not right in the middle so not too loud. Great air con too if you’re staying in a heatwave!
