14 Greta Villas is a modernised stone cottage on Greta Villas in Packhorse Court, a few minutes' walk from Keswick's shops, restaurants and pubs. The whole place is yours alone. Downstairs has an open-plan kitchen and dining area with an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, dishwasher and washer-dryer, plus a separate living room. Upstairs, a kingsize bedroom and a large bathroom with a bath and shower over. The cottage has a front bench seating area and comes with a parking permit for the adjacent car park—useful if you're driving, though the location also works well for public transport users. Bed linen, wifi and heating are included.

The cottage suits couples who want to be in the thick of things rather than tucked away. Keswick itself is the draw here: the lake is close by, the fells are within reach of a morning walk, and the town has enough independent shops and outdoor retailers to occupy a day of browsing. Dogs are welcome. Note that the stairs are steep and narrow. Check-in is after 15:00 and checkout before 10:00. Smoking is not permitted.
