This ground-floor stone cottage stands on the edge of Wigton, a base for exploring the Solway coast four miles away and the northern Lake District fells beyond. The building itself has been finished to a good standard, with everything on one level: a living room with a woodburner, a kitchen equipped for proper cooking (including a dishwasher and washer-dryer), and direct access onto a patio with garden furniture and a barbecue. The bedroom holds a zip-and-link bed (it can be split into two singles on request), and the ensuite wet room has a shower and accessible features including underfloor heating throughout.
The cottage comes with electricity and bed linen included. You get use of a private hot tub (available for hire weekly or for short breaks) and access to the shared indoor heated swimming pool on site—a 5m by 12m pool with a jacuzzi and sauna, bookable for private use at set times. There is parking for one car. The property suits two people, and one pet is welcome. Allonby and Silloth, both working harbours with pubs, cafés and shops, are within reach for a day out; Keswick and its lakes lie roughly 14 miles inland.

Absolutely stunning "home from home" we stayed in Beckside for 4 nights and I really wish I didn't have to come home! Set in beautiful, scenic surroundings, this cottage has everything you need and more! The cottage is wheelchair friendly and has fab accessibility in the outdoor areas too without being "clinical" Private hot tub and shared swimming pool/sauna/jacuzzi was amazing. The onsite animals were an added bonus. Its not everyday you can wake up to cows in your back yard! Fell in love with the place and with 'Tilly Cat' who visited us often to curl up in a warm spot. Carole, our host was on hand for anything we needed/wanted and is so warm, welcoming and friendly. Chatting to her, felt like I'd known her years. Lovely, lovely lady and goes above and beyond to make your stay as fabulous as it can be. Lots to do in the local areas, although we did much of nothing but relax and recharge! We can't wait to return. This is a real gem of a place!
