Meadow View occupies a wing of Armathwaite Manor, a Grade II listed building dating to 1829, near the Fox & Pheasant Inn in Cumberland. The property sleeps six across three bedrooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom and walk-in shower. Ground floor living and dining rooms connect to a fully equipped kitchen with electric oven, hob, dishwasher and microwave, plus a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. A hot tub in the private rear garden is available year-round and seats six; the garden also has seating and a barbecue during the warmer months from April to September.

Upstairs, the main bedroom features a super king bed with an in-room bath, while the other two bedrooms have zip-and-link super king beds that can be separated into singles on request. All three have heated towel rails. The property is yours alone, with private parking for three cars and a bike store. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included; the central heating is biomass. One well-behaved pet is welcome. Smoking is not permitted. Check-in is from 16:00 and checkout by 09:00.

We stayed in Eden side. It is excellent. Everywhere was very clean. Walking distance to two pubs . Right next to the river. Host was extremely polite and keen to ensure we enjoyed our stay. A great place for a family get together. We would stay there again.

We stayed here over the weekend and it was stunning. The photos on the website don’t reflect how lovely and comfortable this property is. Sue was absolutely brilliant from the get go. Great information about the accommodation and places to see nearby. Would absolutely recommend and we can’t wait to return.

I stayed at Armathwaite Manor as a group of 8 and we absolutely loved our stay here. The attention to detail and beautiful touches throughout gave the stay a luxury feel whilst being a comfortable and very relaxing place to be. The bathrooms and bedrooms are all huge, spotless and modern and the grounds are beautiful, well tended to and were thriving with spring bulbs during our stay. The hot tub was a massive bonus, all 8 of us (adults) fit in with a bit of a squeeze & was a wonderful way to spend a few hours each day. There's two lovely pubs within a couple of minutes walk and very easy access to woodland/River Eden walks just outside the front gate. Something to be aware of would be the house is separated into a few separate rentings, with doors locked within our space that would lead directly to their space. Not a problem for us since nobody else was staying next door but something to keep in mind if you would prefer total privacy.
