Wyn Shiels Hide Away

Wyn Shiels Hide Away is a single-storey cottage on the edge of Ainstable, a village in Westmorland and Furness surrounded by open countryside. The whole place is yours alone, and because everything sits on the ground floor—living space, kitchen, bedroom and shower room—there are no stairs to navigate. A kingsize bed and a single bed mean it sleeps three, and the layout works equally well for a couple after quiet time away or a small family needing straightforward access throughout.

The open-plan living and dining area connects to a kitchen with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher; you can cook properly here, or keep things simple. The shower room has a walk-in shower and heated towel rail. Electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. Outside, a rear courtyard and sitting-out area with garden furniture give you somewhere to spend time in the air; there is also bike storage if you want to explore further afield, and parking for one car on site. A pub is within a mile's walk.
