Badger End
Cumberland
Badger End suits couples, small families and groups of four who want a rural base with easy access to Hadrian's Wall and the surrounding archaeological sites. The cottage is one of six converted former barns set in a peaceful spot in Cumberland, each thoughtfully named after locations along the UNESCO World Heritage Roman Wall. You get the whole property to yourself, with parking for one car.
Inside, an open-plan living space with patio doors leads onto your private patio. The two bedrooms and bathroom provide straightforward, comfortable accommodation. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included, and the kitchen is equipped for self-catering. A cot and highchair can be arranged if needed. Dogs stay free and are welcome here.
The location puts you within walking distance of the Wall itself, with nearby forts and museums where you can explore Roman history at your own pace. A pub lies within a mile. The rural setting means quiet evenings and mornings, with countryside around you rather than tourist crowds. No smoking inside the property.
