Keswick's centre is close enough to reach on foot, which means the Lake District's main hub for supplies, eating out and entertainment sits right at your doorstep. The town fills quickly with walkers heading to Catbells or Skiddaw, climbers gearing up at the outdoor shops, and families taking breaks between fell days. From Bay Cottage, you can be among them in minutes, or ignore the bustle entirely and stay put in the quiet residential street where the cottage stands.
The ground floor holds a living room with a television, a separate dining room, and a kitchen with an oven, dishwasher and all the equipment needed to cook properly. Upstairs there is a kingsize bedroom, a twin room with two single beds, and a bathroom with a shower over the bath. The whole property is yours alone. An enclosed front garden and rear courtyard offer outdoor space. Wifi, bed linen, towels and heating are included. One dog travels free. The cottage does not permit smoking.
The leisure centre is a ten-minute walk away, Derwentwater—the most photographed lake in England—sits half a mile off, and Fitz Park, a grassy open space surrounded by steep fells, is equally close. A pub operates within a mile. This setup suits couples, small families and groups of four who want immediate access to Keswick's facilities without being hemmed in by tourism.
