Bridge Cottage

Cumberland

View on Google Maps

Bridge Cottage is a traditional stone cottage built into the heart of Braithwaite village, overlooking the beck that runs through it. The building sits opposite the village shop, putting the practical essentials within steps and pubs a short walk away. Two miles south lies Keswick, though the cottage's real draw is its position as a launchpad for the fells that rise immediately around it.

Inside, the ground floor holds a living room with an open fire for cooler evenings, plus a kitchen and dining space with an electric cooker and full range of appliances for self-catering. Upstairs are three bedrooms—a double and two singles—and one bathroom with a bath and shower. The cottage sleeps five, with a cot available if needed. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen and WiFi are included; there is parking for one small car on site.

The property suits walkers, families and anyone travelling with a dog. Grisedale Pike and Causey Pike are accessible walks from the village, whilst the Coledale Horseshoe offers a more demanding circuit. A small courtyard at the front has garden furniture. Note that smoking is not permitted inside.
