View on Google Maps

Fell View is a detached cottage sleeping seven across four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Downstairs, a living room with a woodburner opens onto a kitchen/dining room fitted with an electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. There's also a utility room with washing machine and freezer, a conservatory, and a bedroom with its own ensuite shower. Upstairs are three more bedrooms: one with a kingsize bed, one with two singles, and one single. The main bathroom has both a bath and walk-in shower, and there's a separate toilet on the ground floor.

The cottage sits in Low Lorton, a quiet village where the Farmers Arms is barely a ten-minute walk away. A small shop serves the adjoining hamlet of High Lorton. Cockermouth, with its independent shops, restaurants and cafés, is twelve minutes' drive; the Kirkgate Arts Centre there hosts regular performances. Keswick lies seven miles away over the Whinlatter Forest pass, offering outdoor retailers, the Derwent Pencil Museum and Theatre by The Lake. Heating via ground source heat pump, electricity, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are included, along with fuel for the woodburner. The property has private parking for three cars, a bike store, and access to an adjoining three-acre wild flower meadow. A back garden, travel cot and highchair are available. No smoking.
