I rarely give a poor review but I'm afraid this visit just saddened me from start to finish. The person giving directions to pitches didn't really seem to know where he wanted us saying I suppose you want electric, when we had paid for electric. We went into a small field which at one point had 7 units in it. According to pitch numbers this small site has at least 47 pitches, and they are extremely close together. Not enough space for cars to pitch next to their tents or caravans. For this number of pitches the 4 toilets and showers are nowhere near enough. I didn't see them being cleaned once, and the condition is dilapidated to say the least. Doors rotten. Shower door in ladies wouldn't lock properly and is next to the outside door. Water heat is variable. No towels or dryers for hand washing. Toilet roll regularly out. They are basically filthy. I know it is hard to keep floors clean in bad weather, but the showers themselves... well.... A lick of paint and some new doors etc would go a long way to help. HOWEVER the smell from the septic tank is unbearable particularly in the mornings. I don't know what causes this but it needs dealing with immediately. Yes we left early due to these conditions. A little money spent on it and a few less cramped pitches would make this a nice place to stay.
