Derwentwater is a ten-minute walk away, and the Theatre by the Lake even closer, both easily reached through Hope Park Memorial Gardens where you'll find mini golf and crazy golf. Keswick town centre surrounds you—shops, pubs, restaurants and outdoor activity specialists line the streets. Launch trips across the water run daily from the shore, with various stopping points for fell walks. The fells themselves dominate the view from your balconies, where you can see Skiddaw and Latrigg rise above the rooflines.
Fellside is the former Royal Oak Hotel converted into holiday apartments, occupying the second floor of a period building. Three bedrooms sleep five: the master has an en-suite shower room, while two others look out over the balconies. A second bathroom with a bath and shower serves the rest of the property. The living and dining room opens onto its own balcony, making it easy to watch the light change on the surrounding peaks. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering, with an electric oven and gas hob, and there's a washing machine if you need it. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. You have your own parking space on site, so exploring the area by car is straightforward whenever you want to venture further into the Lake District. No smoking inside the property.
