Keswick draws walkers, cyclists and families to the Lake District year-round, and staying in the heart of the market town means you can leave the car parked and explore on foot. Kissing Gate occupies a quiet courtyard just off the main street—set back enough to escape the noise, but close enough that a pub, restaurant and shops are all within fifty yards.

The apartment is compact and ground-floor throughout: a living and dining room with a smart TV, a kitchen equipped for self-catering (electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave), two bedrooms (one double, one with bunk beds) and a bathroom with a bath and shower. Bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included. There is parking for one car on site. One well-behaved pet is welcome; smoking is not.

Derwentwater is about ten minutes' walk away, and Keswick's parks offer tennis, bowls and mini-golf. The town centre has enough cafés, restaurants and independent shops that you could easily stay put, or use it as a base for longer days out in the fells and around the lake.
