Glinger House is a substantial Edwardian property in rural Cumbria, fully equipped for groups who want space, comfort and entertainment under one roof. The house has 15 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms spread across multiple floors, with a lift serving the first floor and two ground-floor bedrooms for those who prefer not to use stairs. Electricity, bed linen and towels are all included. The whole property is yours alone, and dogs are welcome at no extra cost.
Inside, the rooms retain period features and generous proportions. A cinema room with projector and a games space with snooker table occupy guests who want organised entertainment, while quieter spaces work well for reading or conversation. Outside, the gardens contain an outdoor swimming pool and hot tub, with woodland paths and ponds adding to the grounds. Space for outdoor games means you can keep busy without leaving the property. Arrive after 4pm; depart by 10am. Smoking is not permitted.

Wow, what a massive and charming place! The wedding party stayed here for two nights, and Glingerbank was absolutely perfect for getting everyone together before and after the big day. The house itself has so much character and is so huge it feels like a bit of a maze! There is so much space, and the highlights for us were definitely the amenities. The games room was a massive hit—complete with a large snooker table, foosball, and even a table tennis table outside. The hot tub was a lovely addition, and the well-maintained pool is just a short, scenic walk away through the woods. A special shoutout to the groundskeeper who was incredibly friendly and helpful; he was out tending to the gorgeous grounds the entire time we were there. With plenty of parking and endless space, this is the ultimate venue for a big group stay. Highly recommend!

Nice house with beautiful grounds and providing all facilities. Games and swimming pool and jacuzzi. Great for getting away from busy life style in the city.

An incredible place, with a lot to offer. For a group it’s a great place to stay. The owner (Richard) was very friendly and helpful.

Had a long weekend here with a group of 25 friends. All families with a wide range of children's ages. Ideal location, as it is so well equipped for bedrooms and bathrooms. I suspect we'll be booking again.
