Lobstone Cottage

Lobstone Cottage comes ready for immediate use. The kitchen has an electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave and fridge-freezer, so you can prepare proper meals rather than rely on takeaways. Electricity, wifi, bed linen and towels are all included. The cottage has been refurbished for 2026, with new double glazing and a new bathroom featuring a bath with shower over and heated towel rail. Downstairs there is a separate toilet, a living and dining room with TV and DVD player, plus electric storage heaters for warmth.

Two bedrooms sleep three: one double bed and one single. The property sits in Rosthwaite in the Borrowdale Valley, surrounded by fell walking. The Royal Oak Hotel is within a mile, and there is private parking on site. The cottage itself was drawn by A Wainwright and features in his Coast to Coast Walk guide. Smoking is not permitted inside.
