Southways Cottage

Southways Cottage is a semi-detached property in the small village of Cumwhinton, completely renovated in 2023. Everything is on the ground floor: a living room with a 43-inch smart TV, a kitchen and dining area, three bedrooms (two with zip-and-link super king beds that can split into singles, one with a double), and two bathrooms. One bedroom has an ensuite shower room; the main bathroom has a bath and separate shower cubicle. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking, with an electric oven and hob, microwave and full-sized fridge. A utility room contains the washing machine.

The enclosed back garden is the real draw—completely private, with a patio and garden furniture where you can sit with morning coffee or an evening drink. There is bike storage accessed via garden steps. On-site parking fits two cars. The cottage sleeps six and includes wi-fi, electricity, bed linen and towels; you arrive after 3pm and depart by 10am. The village location sits just minutes from the M6 yet remains quiet and peaceful, making it convenient both for a family gathering and for exploring Carlisle, Hadrian's Wall, the Eden Valley, and the Lake District National Park.
