Tanner’s Cottage

Tanner's Cottage is a traditional terraced cottage sleeping two, with one bedroom, one bathroom and its own enclosed garden complete with patio and barbecue. The property sits on the edge of Cockermouth, close enough to reach the town's shops, galleries and restaurants on foot in around five minutes, yet far enough out to feel separate. There is parking for one car on site.

The ground floor holds a living and dining room with a 43-inch smart TV and an electric fire, plus a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—electric oven, gas hob, microwave, air fryer, dishwasher and washing machine. Upstairs, the bedroom contains a double bed (4ft 6in), and the bathroom has both a slipper bath and a cubicle shower. Gas central heating keeps the place warm, and wi-fi is provided throughout.

Cockermouth works well as a base for the Lake District; Keswick is 12 miles away, Buttermere 10 miles, and Whinlatter Forest about 3 miles. The town itself has Wordsworth House and Cockermouth Castle within reach, along with distilleries and local attractions. No smoking inside, and children are welcome.
