Families and groups of up to six will find The Croft works well for a Lake District base. Most of the accommodation sits on one level—the living room, kitchen-diner, and two double bedrooms—with a twin bedroom accessed by steps on the lower ground floor. Two bathrooms mean the mornings run smoother. Everything needed for self-catering is here: a full kitchen with oven, hob, dishwasher and washing machine, plus wifi, heating, bed linen and towels are all covered.
The real appeal lies outside. Terraced gardens with patios wrap around the property, furnished and equipped with a summerhouse and barbecue. A quiet cul-de-sac location keeps things peaceful, while a ten-minute walk reaches Keswick town centre and its shops, pubs and restaurants, or the lake itself at Derwentwater. Walks begin from the doorstep—Walla Crag, Castlehead and Friars Crag are all accessible. The property was recently refurbished and has parking for three cars on site. Note that there are steps within the grounds and at the entrance, and smoking is not permitted.
