Stayed here over the Christmas week. Due to Covid, we stayed in the cottage the whole time. Our party was a mature couple and my elderly mother. The cottage =has only been refurbished recently and it is lovely. One of the reasons I chose it was due to everything being on one floor for my mother and its was very good for her. Its spacious, well laid out and equipped and very nice place to just "chill" in. As well as the Smart TV in the lounge area (had Netflix and Amazon Prime if you use your own login details), there are also TV's in each of the bedrooms. The Kitchen is very nicely equipped, with a full size Fridge Freezer as well as all the usual Dishwasher, Oven and hob top, there is also a Nespresso coffee machine and a cafetiere. Heidi and Adrian were very friendly, as much as they could be with social distancing, and they made it clear that nothing was too much trouble and we could call anytime if we needed anything. We didn't go out, but the surrounding area is on the edge of the Lake district and is beautiful and has the benefit of not being far from the coast, so you can have Lakes and Beach if you wish. The overall decor of the cottage is "modern" rather than rustic, this is not a criticism, just an observation. Sometimes these conversions can maintain some of the features of the original buildings, but this is not really the case here, but again, I stress the cottage is lovely and I highly recommend it to anyone from people wanting to walk the Lake District, to people looking for a comfortable break away
