What guests say
Had a fantastic experience at The Kings Highway. The food was excellent— well-prepared, and full of flavour. What really made our visit stand out was the outstanding customer service from Amy and Gemma. They were both friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Their warm and professional attitude made us feel very welcome. Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

First visit here. We came to see Jason, who we knew from his previous pub - The Greyhound. He has already started to work his magic here. Superb Food, nice atmosphere & excellent service. We had the carvery & was recommended to have the Pork & Dauphinoise potatoes, bloomin lovely. Will definitely be back, worth the drive from Chesterfield.

We stayed here while attending Download and loved it. From arrival the staff were so welcoming and really couldnt have done more for us. Very straight forward Check-in procedure and access to a secondary car park for the hotel stay which was great. There is a night porter after 6pm, so felt very safe leaving vehicles and arriving back super late from the festival as there was someone on duty. Access was easy off the road, and Maps was able to find it without issues. The rooms were fine, couple of wee things like paint (?) on the curtain and a wobbly toilet seat, but overall fine for the time we spent in it. Bed is conjoined singles which meant it was massive and I slept really well, temperature was good and bedding was fine. Shower pressure was brilliant. Room had everything you'd expect but I loved the long table with mirror as it made getting ready really easy. Sofa so you had an option of seating as well. Rooms were keycard access, never had an issue. We ate breakfast in the restaurant which is separate to the hotel building, but just across the car park. It was fantastic. Cost us £7 for a breakfast sandwich but then you got continental included so filled up with coffee, juice, toast, cereal, pan au chocolat etc - well worth the money and again staff were superb and reallt easy going considering most of the residents were fesrival goers. Would have loved to have stayed from Thursday and tried their carvery which runs daily as it looked amazing! Maybe next year!

We came in as a group of around 17 of us, comprising 7 wheelchair users and Jason, Gemma and the team couldn't have been any more accommodating. They were absolutely wonderful to the whole group, making sure we had an easily accessible area and if there were any issues they were there to solve them. As it was we had a wonderful evening with some great food at good prices. The couldn't have been any more accommodating. To say they were amazing is an understatement. I highly recommend.
