What visitors say

What a great time my son and I had when we visited on Saturday 11th July. He is 9 and was fascinated by all of the different computers and the history of gaming. What a great idea to be interactive and for him to be able to have a go on anything. I also enjoyed learning that Sonic 2 is like riding a bike, you never forget how to play! All of the volunteers we encountered that day were very friendly, enthusiastic and helpful. My son is asking when we can come back. Although we are 2 hours away, I hope to bring him and my other son and husband back again soon.

The Exile

It's small and just starting up. They need better air conditioning, more screens that aren't too bright, flickery or playing the music way too loud. Nice chill vibes, great selection of machines to play on, I liked all the themed rooms. I think it has great potential.

I visited with my family and was able to introduce my kids to pretty much every computer or console that I grew up with. The whole family really enjoyed themselves, but I think I enjoyed myself the most! All of the exhibits were playable and many consoles had a stock of carts next to them so you could choose what to play. Such a fantastic range of machines too, and never too busy that you couldn't get on a machine. Since our visit I've been telling all of my friends of a similar vintage about it. I'll definitely be coming back myself. Revisiting my earliest programming moment on the Acorn Electron was my absolute highlight! 10 PRINT "DERBY COMPUTER MUSEUM IS FANTASTIC!" 20 GOTO 10 > RUN

Took my little girl and we had a brilliant time. Felt like a journey through time and the nostalgia came pouring back. My daughter actually preferred some of the 70s games like space invaders which was surprising! The staff were friendly and knowledgable and we'll definitely be visiting again!
