About Premier Inn Derby City Centre Cathedral Quarter

Full Street runs close to the River Derwent in Derby's Cathedral Quarter, and it's here that Premier Inn Derby City Centre Cathedral Quarter makes its home, within easy reach of Derby Cathedral, shops and restaurants. The riverside setting gives the area a pleasant, walkable feel, with the city centre's entertainment and eateries all close by.

The hotel has 118 rooms across seven floors, each with an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and free WiFi, plus drinks available in room. Accessible rooms are available, and a lift serves all floors. Downstairs there's a restaurant and bar, and breakfast is served each morning with a wide selection on offer. Reception operates around the clock, useful for guests arriving late or heading off early.

Parking is available nearby for a charge rather than on site, worth factoring in if travelling by car. The rooms themselves are consistently well kept and comfortable, and staff are generally friendly and helpful, though service has been known to vary. For a straightforward, central base for exploring Derby's cathedral quarter or for business trips into the city, the location does most of the work.

Difficultly checking recently was due to issues with my company’s booking agency, Amex GB. This took 2hrs 45mins. During this time the premier in staff were great. Particular thanks to Candice who demonstrated patience, in abundance, and professionalism trying to deal with Amex GB. It is very rare to receive such excellent service these days. Well done to Candice and Premier Inn, but unfortunately the same cannot be said for Amex GB

Disappointed hat we could not get our car out of the 24hour garage, which ended up with our car being locked in for another three hours after we had checked out. No apology, only told, well as far as we know, it is 24hr. Not even offered a cup of tea, despite having had a full English. Rooms lovely, staff friendly. Quiet location, but be mindful with luggage, was a long walk to the (not) 24 he car park

Excellent location. Great breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff. Digital check in was complete rubbish, it wouldn’t read our QR code on the booking email and then it failed to activate our room cards. No traffic noise in the room. Very clean.
