Blackcurrant Cottage at Stanton Ford Farm
Derbyshire Dales
View on Google MapsThe Peak District villages of Calver and Baslow sit either side of Stanton Ford Farm, a working beef holding in the heart of the National Park. Blackcurrant Cottage occupies the farmyard here, refurbished throughout and finished with traditional character. A wood burner anchors the living room; the kitchen has electric cooking and a dishwasher for everyday meals. One bedroom holds a super-kingsize bed, the other two singles. There is one bathroom with a bath and shower, and a separate toilet. The whole place is yours alone—no shared spaces—with parking for two cars and a small courtyard garden with patio furniture.
Bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are provided, along with the initial fuel for the burner. The cottage sits four steps up from the main yard, and gas central heating covers the colder months. A pub stands within walking distance. Chatsworth Estate, Haddon Hall and Bakewell town are all roughly 15 minutes' drive. Calver itself has a shop and food pubs; Baslow, a short walk in the other direction, has more dining and sits next to the gritstone edges that dominate local walking routes. No smoking in the property.
