Bookkeeper's Place occupies the first floor of a Grade II listed building in central Bakewell, a market town at the heart of the Peak District. The apartment is a single open-plan space with living area, dining section and kitchen flowing together, plus a separate bedroom and shower room. Eighteen steps lead to the entrance; there is no lift.

The kitchen is equipped for self-catering with electric hob and oven, dishwasher, and washing machine. The bedroom contains a zip-and-link king bed that can be split into two singles on request. A south-facing balcony with garden furniture overlooks the town centre. Essentials including Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are provided. Your private parking space is 150 yards from the building. The property does not allow smoking, and is not suitable for children under 18 or pets.

Bakewell offers a range of independent shops, cafés and restaurants within walking distance. The River Wye runs through the town, and the Monsal Trail—a traffic-free route for walkers and cyclists—connects through to Buxton. Chatsworth Estate, Haddon Hall and surrounding villages such as Eyam and Castleton are within a 30-minute drive.
