Within reach of Bakewell and the Peak District National Park, The Chapel stands on a 14-acre estate where walking routes begin at the gate. The grounds hold a heated swimming pool (bookable in hourly slots), sauna and solarium for guests to use, plus a games room. A single pet is welcome here.
The building sleeps six across three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Ground floor has a living room, dining room and kitchen with gas and electric cooking, a dishwasher and all the basics. Upstairs are two doubles (one four-poster, one zip-and-link) and a bedroom with two single beds, with an ensuite and a shower room between them. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and heating are included. A south-facing terrace overlooks the grounds and holds a private hot tub (available 8am to 10pm), with garden furniture and an electric vehicle charging point. Steps lead down to the terrace. The property is non-smoking.
The estate has been home to titled families through its recorded history and still holds the converted listed buildings that form its holiday accommodation. Children's play areas are scattered across the grounds, and a cot and highchair are available on request. The Nelson Arms is nearby for an evening out.
