This sixteenth-century manor house stands as a period property with genuine character—wood panelling, exposed beams, stained glass and mullion windows throughout, alongside the low ceilings and uneven floors you'd expect of a building this old. The whole place is yours alone, set within grounds that sit on the edge of the Peak District.
Six bedrooms and six bathrooms mean large groups can spread out comfortably. Downstairs, a living room with an open fire and a kitchen with a range cooker and two dishwashers form the social spaces. Upstairs, a mix of four-poster doubles, a super kingsize, and three singles gives flexibility for different combinations. Every bedroom has a television, and all but one bathroom includes a shower; two have baths as well. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and electricity are included, along with heating for the winter months.
On the grounds you'll find a private hot tub (capacity for four, open 8am to 10pm) and access to an indoor heated swimming pool, plus a walled courtyard garden and an enclosed garden with a Victorian summerhouse containing a billiards table and table tennis. The property does not permit smoking. One well-behaved pet is welcome.
