You enter Bryn Aled through its own door into a spacious ground-floor living area. French doors open from the living space onto a patio where a private hot tub sits ready, and the room itself has a woodburner for cold days. Upstairs are two bedrooms—one with a double bed and ensuite shower, the other with two singles—plus a full bathroom. The kitchen is fitted with electric cooking, a dishwasher and washing machine, so you can prepare proper meals or travel light. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and heating are included, along with initial logs for the burner.
Walks start from your door into Coed y Brenin Forest Park, where streams run through steep woodland. The market town of Dolgellau is 3 miles away with shops, pubs and restaurants. From there, the Mawddach Trail is a level 9-mile walk along an old railway line down to Barmouth's beach. Heading the other way, Bala holds Wales's largest natural lake and runs a heritage steam railway. Cycle hire is available locally. One dog may stay free and should be kept on a lead as the area is sheep country. The property suits families or groups of four; there is parking for three cars and a courtyard garden with seating. No smoking inside.
