We recently stayed at Afon Rhaiadr Country House and felt very welcomed by Gina and Gareth from the moment we arrived. Our room was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and cosy. We stayed in the Garden Room, which overlooked the bird feeding area. It was lovely to sit and watch the variety of birds visiting the feeders, along with their chicks. The gardens also hold a wonderful hidden surprise worth discovering, tucked away within the grounds. We also enjoyed an evening meal during our stay, and the breakfast each morning was fantastic. We would especially recommend the pancakes with fresh fruit. The peaceful surroundings made it the perfect place to relax while also providing great access for exploring North Wales. We would highly recommend Afon Rhaiadr Country House to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

A beautiful country house in the heart of Snowdonia. The owners, Gina & Gareth, were amazing all the way throughout. From going above and beyond to provide us with info about the house and climbing Snowdon before our stay and then being so lovely, welcoming & accommodating throughout our stay. A stunning country house, a relaxing garden and a tasty homemade fry up. Can't recommend the stay enough if visiting Wales or climbing Snowdon. Thank you both for sharing your home with us x

We've just left after a two day stay with Gareth & Gina and are looking when we can go again. Beautiful rooms, spotlessly clean , a really comfortable bed and proper mugs for plentiful tea & coffee. Gareth & Gina are excellent hosts. Gina provided us with very useful tips for the areas we were visiting. Gareth made delicious breakfasts, including the perfect poached egg. Would absolutely recommend a stay at Afon Rhaiadar 😊

A perfect weekend. The building and gardens are breathtaking. The attention to detail everywhere only speaks of love and care. Highlights for us were the bird feeders filled with woodpeckers! We stumbled upon this beautiful place by accident. A gift bought for us to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The owners made such an effort decorating our room with a beautiful bouquet, chocolates, banners and balloons, it was a real treat. We had two breakfasts and one evening meal, all homemade and cooked to perfection. There’s so much to do around that we didn’t even have to think of making any plans. The owners were full of local advice and tips. Honestly couldn’t have been better for us. Thank you so much for doing such an amazing job.
