Just got back from 3 nights here and honestly couldn’t fault it. Exactly what you want from a campsite without the faff. The site Pitches are flat, spacious, and well-drained. No squashed-in feeling – you’ve got room for the tent, awning, and still space for the kids to kick a ball. Ground was solid even after a night of rain, so no mud bath when we left. Facilities Showers and toilets were clean every time I went, and hot water was reliable. The washing-up area was covered, which saved us when it got drizzly. Bin points emptied regularly, and there’s a little shop for basics so you don’t have to drive out for milk and bread. Vibe Quiet after 10pm, which was great with the kids. Staff were friendly and actually around if you needed anything, but not hovering. Mix of families, couples, and a few solo campers – everyone kept to themselves but said hello in passing. Felt safe leaving the tent during the day. Location Right on the edge of the site you’ve got footpaths straight out to walks. Beach/woods/lake is a 5-10 min walk depending where you are, so you get the outdoorsy feel without needing the car for everything. Minor stuff Signal’s a bit patchy in parts, but that was fine for us – forced a proper digital detox. Verdict Simple, clean, well-run site with a relaxed atmosphere. Great for a family weekend or a quiet couples break. Would book again without hesitation.
