About Borthwen BnB
Cader Road sits within reach of the mountains that surround Dolgellau, and Borthwen BnB makes the most of that setting, with views across to the peaks from parts of the property and a garden to sit out in when the weather allows. It's a quiet base in Gwynedd, close to the National White Water Centre and within range of Morfa Mawddach, with plenty of walking and cycling country on the doorstep.
Rooms are en-suite and come with WiFi and drinks, and breakfast is included each morning, with a packed lunch available for those heading out for the day. There's a picnic area and outdoor seating for guests who'd rather eat in the open air, plus room service and 24 hour reception for whatever time you arrive or need something. Pets are welcome, and free on-site parking means you can leave the car and explore on foot or by bike.
Fishing, pubs, restaurants and other eateries are all nearby, so there's no shortage of places to eat after a day on the hills or the water. It's a straightforward, well-placed spot for anyone using Dolgellau as a base for the mountains and rivers around it.

Lovely B&B lovely rooms decorated to a very high standard. Cracking breakfast, wonderful views. A lovely bird feeding station right outside the window with a wonderful appearance of many wild birds. My only criticism would be the lack of a curtain in the bedroom, bright sunny mornings 4.30am are not helpful for sleep, more than one couple mentioned it. Will be back for sure. Thanks again

Absolutely beautiful b&b with spectacular views, it's, spotless, comfortable, and the hosts, Colin and Lisa, were incredible. Nothing was too much trouble, and the breakfast was the best I've had! Cannot fault it at all and will definitely go back again.

Had a lovely stay at Borthwen recently. Hosts were friendly and welcoming. The bedrooms were immaculate and the bed was extremely comfortable. Unfortunately there were no biscuits in the room to go with the tea/ coffee. I went out and bought my own so there wasn't a problem. The B/B is in a quiet location though I was woken up at 3am on two occasions due to railway workers returning to the B/B after a night shift. Breakfast was nice on the whole. The natural yogurt and fruit were lovely. The quality of the cooked breakfast was ok, sausages were very pale in colour and had an unusual texture. Would have been nice to have had good quality bread as toast instead of steamed, supermarket bread ....and proper butter! Would also have been nice to have had a cafetiere of coffee instead of instant coffee. These little things make a huge difference. Overall, a pleasant stay.
