About Brewery Farm
Tucked into peaceful Dorset countryside near Dorchester, Brewery Farm might not brew beer anymore, but it delivers a cracking rural escape with a proper country pub right across the road. Campers rave about the well-kept pitches—both grass and hardstanding options available—and the clean, spacious shower block, while the views over rolling farmland are genuinely lovely. An on-site shop stocks the farm's own produce alongside essentials, and barbecues are welcomed if you fancy grilling your own feast.
The pub over the lane serves locally sourced food and proper ales, perfect after a day exploring the network of footpaths that thread through some of Dorset's finest walking country. History buffs will find plenty to discover nearby, and the coast isn't far for beaches and boat trips. It's a small, friendly site with space for just 11–25 pitches, keeping things intimate. Some visitors note facilities can feel a touch tired in places, but the peaceful setting and warm welcome more than compensate.

What visitors say
Stayed at Henning lodge for a family week for my Mum's 70th. We all had an amazingly lovely relaxing time that exceeded all our expectations. A beautiful and peaceful view from the back door. Well equipped and very spacious lodge that didn't feel overlooked by other guests. Very useful having a washing machine available. Nice countryside walks from the door. The Fox Inn served nice food and decent ale. The on-site shop was very convenient for the little things we forgot. Sainsburys and Morrisons supermarkets both deliver here which was very handy too. Great location for exploring Dorset, or just relaxing. Would benefit from having a garden parasol for the outside dining area as we experienced a heatwave. Hot tub was fantastic but might need some maintenance as it's possible it has a slow leak as we needed to top up the water a couple of times and some of the jets didn't feel like they worked.

We camped at this location as it was only 30 minute drive from Weymouth. The camping spot was perfect, not too many spaces so it was quiet at night but also enough people so you can meet new people and socialise. There is a pub practically on site (1 minute walk across the road) which is very convenient and a well stocked shop on site too. I will definately be returning to this site.

Beautiful accommodation in a very quiet rural part of Dorset. Melbury Lodge has 3 great ensuite bedrooms. Make use of the underbed storage if needed. Views lovely. Sheep, grouse, bird song, bats and an occasional owl could be heard whilst sitting in the fabulous hot tub. We had groceries delivered on the Friday then had tea at the Fox Inn across the road. Excellent food and service. Returned for Easter Sunday dinner. Wonderful. Gorgeous walks from the door with the use of the Ansty Ambler booklet available from the pub £2 charity donation. Highly recommended and so many places to visit inland and on the coast within 30 - 60 minutes. The whole family loved it.

Stayed last week Wed-Sun in our Campervan. Fantastic location, Wonderful small site, clean and level pitches v quiet during the week, facilities v clean and spacious, it would b good if you had toilets separate from the bathroom all in one setup. As there were only 3 bathrooms therefore 3 loos queueing during busy times at wkend not great if u r desperate to go. Charlotte was extremely helpful and professional (thanks) it made our stay and booking even more pleasant. Recommend to anyone.
