About Burnbake Campsite Corfe Castle

Tucked into Dorset woodland with a brook threading through, Burnbake offers two distinct camping areas: an open, spacious field and a smaller, tree-ringed zone closer to the facilities block—ideal if you crave a more secluded pitch. The site's modern amenities impress, from spotless showers and a launderette to an on-site café and a small convenience store, while families appreciate the play area and the abundance of wildlife.

Campfires are permitted in raised firepits (a few available to hire), and well-behaved dogs roam free of charge year-round. Late arrivals simply check the pitch map at reception and settle the paperwork next morning. Reviewers praise the helpful staff and peaceful woodland atmosphere, though facilities can feel a touch busy during peak weekends. Both Corfe Castle and Studland lie within ten minutes' drive, putting pubs, tearooms and the Jurassic Coast within easy reach for those seeking a genuine Purbeck escape.

We’ve stayed here several times - excellent place to stay, however the men’s loos flushes were barely functional - when we informed the staff they basically said just to make do with it and didn’t seem to feel there was any need to be improving - this is why I’ve only given it 4 stars this time. Going forward we would definitely visit again but stick to portaloos - the main loos took no kidding, at least 20 and I repeat, 20 minutes to flush away a number 2 after countless pumps of the handle, and to make matters worse many people simply gave up trying to flush and so before could even use the loo needed spend ages trying to flush away others waste first - and the staff incredibly thought there was nothing wrong with this scenario when I explained it to them. I see there’s an option to add photos and videos to this, for the good of the masses I shall refrain from doing this. On a positive note the cleanliness of everything else was excellent as always.

So we camped, but the lodges look good. Location is great, close to beautiful beaches, Swanage and Corfe Castle. The campsite is super pretty with trees and little glades. Flat pitches. But, and it is a big BUT...It's busy, crowded as its popular, more like a festival and everyone has a fire pit so it's smokey at night. But the worse thing is the noise, too many kids on bikes going round at night. Curfew of 10.30 but not really adhered to. But staff were good, showers and loos clean, not enough of the them at busy times. Fire pit rental is £34.50 for two nights. Good cycle hire. But they don't have communal Fridge/Freezers for your cool box blocks

clean facilities, warm showers, a little convenience store on site with a nice outdoor eating area where you can order food. Unfortunately the food area was only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday when we were there. We stayed in the main camping area where there are more trees rather than a field. Free Wifi works well

Big campsite with a range of pitches- we stayed in the general non electric pitches where you pick a space. Nice set up, toilets and showers were clean and modern, little play park for younger kids, a shop with the basics, and a cafe doing pizza, chips, and breakfast. Was dead quiet between 2230 and 0830.
