About Mill Paddock Campsite

Mill Paddock delivers the laid-back Dorset camping experience many seek, with spacious, non-designated pitches on level grass where you can park up and breathe. The modern facilities block earns consistent praise for cleanliness and reliably hot showers, while thoughtful touches like a shared fridge-freezer and electric hook-ups dotted around the perimeter add welcome convenience. Firepits are encouraged, logs are sold on site, and there's even a treehouse to keep younger campers entertained.

The real draw is location: you're a short drive from Jurassic Coast beaches and Monkey World, yet close enough to the River Frome for paddleboarding and right beside the Purbeck Way for walkers. The friendly owners offer spot-on local recommendations and keep numbers limited, so the atmosphere stays peaceful rather than packed. Some might find the lack of on-site facilities beyond the basics a drawback, but with Wareham's shops and pubs ten minutes away, most find it strikes the right balance between escape and accessibility.

What visitors say

Adam Jesney

This is a lovely, small campsite which is in a great location to visit many local tourist sites. We stayed Tuesday to Friday, went to the beach at Studland, paddle boarded on the River Frome at Wareham, and went to Kimmeridge Bay. All recommended by the hosts at Mill Paddock. Lovely people. The site has clean facilities, hot showers, EHU and Fridge freezer. Locally is a small stream to dip your feet, and then you are close to many other places too, Lulworth, Corfe Castle etc. Would definitely stay here again.

We had booked to stay here after a recommendation from a friend. Unfortunately our campers clutch decided to go on route resulting in a U turn and heading home. I dropped a courtesy email to Abigail with absolute no expectations to let her know we couldn’t make it and in hope that she might be able to fill our space. Abigail sent a warm and kind email saying how sorry she was and refunded part of our stay. This kind and generous act is an example of wonderful customer service and why we will be rebooking once the van is fixed.
