Arne Barn is a converted barn on the Arne Peninsula, near Wareham in Dorset. You'll arrive to find a substantial property designed by its architect owner, arranged over two floors and set in a landscaped garden with sitting-out areas, garden furniture and a barbecue. The whole place is yours alone, and one well-behaved pet is welcome.
Downstairs, the living and dining room has a woodburner and television, while the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking—electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and freezer. There's also a utility room with a washing machine and a separate toilet. Upstairs you'll find four bedrooms: a double with an ensuite shower room; a bunk room; a twin; and a single in a galleried space. A family bathroom with a bath completes the arrangement. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and electricity are included. Oil central heating keeps the place warm. A travel cot and highchair are available if needed, and there's parking for one car on site.
This corner of Dorset suits anyone wanting to explore the coast and countryside. Arne Peninsula itself is an RSPB nature reserve with a trail through the landscape. Sandy beaches at Sandbanks and Brownsea Island are nearby, as is Corfe Castle. Wareham town centre and local shops are three miles away. The property doesn't permit smoking.
