🏡 Self-Catering Cottage 🐾 Pets Welcome

Hambury House

West Lulworth sits on the edge of the Jurassic Coast, where limestone cliffs meet sheltered coves and the village remains walkable enough to reach shops and pubs on foot. Hambury House is a new-build cottage with a traditional thatched roof and exposed beams, designed to feel both contemporary and rooted in the landscape. It's the whole place to yourself, sleeping eight across four bedrooms: a king with ensuite, a double with ensuite, a twin, and a zip-and-link room that splits into two singles. Three bathrooms mean everyone gets space. One well-behaved pet is welcome.

Downstairs, the kitchen is properly equipped for cooking—electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine—and opens onto a dining room with a table that extends to seat all eight. The living room has a smart TV, DVD player and books for quieter evenings, plus french doors to the garden. There's a utility room with washer and tumble dryer, and a separate toilet. Outside, a patio and garden furniture face an enclosed garden; a barbecue is provided, and you can park two cars on site, with garage space for one. Wifi and all essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels—are included. No smoking inside.

Lulworth Cove itself is a ten-minute walk away: a horseshoe-shaped natural harbour now busy with fishing boats and pleasure-trip services. Durdle Door, the famous limestone arch, lies half a mile further along the coast. The village has a sixteenth-century pub and basic stores within easy reach.
