The Retreat

The Retreat began life as a medical clinic and retains the solid, functional character of that heritage. Now converted for holidays, it sits in Jubilee Close Retail Park in Weymouth, a working corner of town rather than a picture-postcard village setting. The whole property is yours alone, with parking for one car and wi-fi throughout.

Inside, there are two bedrooms—one with a double bed, one with two singles that can zip together—and a bathroom with bath and shower. The ground floor is open plan, combining living space, dining area and kitchen in one room. You get what you need to cook: an Aga, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and microwave. Bed linen, towels and heating are included. If you're travelling with small children, a travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available. No smoking is permitted.

Weymouth itself is a working seaside town with shops, cafés and restaurants. The coast and South West Coastal Path are within reach for days out; Lulworth Cove lies roughly 20 miles west.
