Hazel Cottage

Hazel Cottage is a 400-year-old Grade II listed property with a thatched roof, refurbished in 2023. Everything is on the ground floor: the living and dining space features an open fireplace and traditional low ceilings; the bedroom has a super kingsize bed (convertible to twins) and a window seat; the shower room is compact and practical. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, with electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher, and washing machine. Oil central heating keeps the cottage warm, and wi-fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. One dog can stay at no extra cost.

The cottage sits in Briantspuddle village, where a shared section of the owner's garden provides outdoor seating. On-site parking accommodates one car, and EV charging is available at additional cost. Countryside footpaths, bridleways and quiet lanes fan out from the village, threading through woodland, heathland and riverside scenery. The setting suits couples or solo travellers wanting a self-contained retreat with walking access to rural Dorset. Smoking is not permitted inside.
